BASKETBALL REGULATIONS

I. TIME AND PLACE
From May 17 to May 19, 2024.

II. PARTICIPANTS
There will be men’s (max 16 teams) and women’s (max 12 teams). Team composition: 12 players and 2 coach. One team plays no more than 3 games per day. If there are not at least 4 teams in tournament till 22.04.2024 then tournament will be abolished. The tournament system, draw and time table will be published after the registration. The competition will be held according to the international (FIBA) rules with the following modifications:

• The game shall consist of four (4) periods of eight (8) minutes. Time only stopped every half, then last 2 min. If it is necessary, the game’s overtime is 3 minutes.
• For a victory a team receives 2 points, for a loss – 1 point, for not attending the game – 0 points.
• If a team does not show up to a game, then it is disqualified from further participation in the tournament and previous results are nullified.

Final and 3rd place game. Play time is 4 x 10 minutes. If it is necessary, the game’s overtime is 5 minutes. All competing participants must meet the requirements of the General Regulations of SELL 2024 Kaunas games.

IV. MEDICAL SERVICE
The participants must have the appropriate insurance to cover travel and participation, as they are not the responsibility of the OC. The OC will insure the first aid at the competition venues for all accredited persons.
